I think a logical corollary is that the larger master bedroom (or river, or yard) are not utilized as much if the commute is longer and/or more difficult. So the benefit that might be derived in that scenario might be even further lessened by the time constraints on all other activities because of the commute.

So now I must see if I can apply this analysis/these steps to the third chid question.... I have definitely "over-thought" the issue already!

As a sales manager I used to tell my people, "don't talk yourself out of a deal", meaning that once you had the YES from a customer, you shouldn't keep rambling for so long that you ended up making them re-think their commitment...
In life, and based on your post, I would say we shouldn't think ourselves out of a decision, either. You are so right that we can talk ourselves into just about anything in out heads if we don't trust our intuition.
Great stuff!

Thanks Mike, appreicate your thoughts. Yes, definitely true for sales. I think it's true even before you have the Yes from the customer by helping them focus on the most important and relevant factors in making their decision. If they start thinking about all the factors, they're likely to talk themselves out of it.

Stacey, I agree! If you're already overthought the third child decision, go back to square one: what do you want? what feels right? What does your heart say?

The hardest part is making the decision, and even then we don't have complete control since nature may decide for us women.
