Sometimes crying is not a bad thing-- it shows your humanity, authenticity, and at times, empathy. But other times you know that crying is not going to help you or your reputation.
With all the talk of Hillary Clinton's tearful speech (which by the way, I did not feel that she should have used these tips- Because she is typically very composed I found a little tearfulness to show the positive things I described above), I've been interviewed by several news media about how to keep from crying. Read some of my tips from an interview with The Oklahoman here.
To your success,

Hi, Larina!
I know this is a very late comment (it's now the middle of February!), and that may be at the heart of this problem:
Your link above doesn't go to the 'Oklahoman' story about crying at work, but to a Scripps report on the New Hampshire primary.
Thanks for being here! I learn something new and useful from every post!
Bright Blessings!
